Launchingburns-oriented specialized classesfor Burmese students

VMMU: Implementing a cooperation program between the two armies of Vietnam and Myanmar, agreed by the head of the Ministry of Defense and the authorities, on May 29, 2018, VMMU solemnly held Launching burns-oriented specialized classes for Burmese students, at the National Institute of burns.

Attended and directed the opening ceremony were Major General, Prof.Dr. Do Quyet, Director of VMMU, Brigadier General Aung Zeya, military attaché of Myanmar in Vietnam; Representatives of the External Relations Department, School Department, Military Medicine Department, Viettel Telecommunication Industry Group; Representatives of Commander of Military Hospital 103, Politics Department, Training Department, Post Graduate Department, Examination Division, Material Assurance Division, International Student Management Unit - VMMU; Major General, Assoc.Prof Nguyen GiaTien, director of the National Institute of burns, comrades in the Party Committee - Board of Directors, commanders of departments of VMMU, together with 6 practitioners from Myanmar.

At the opening ceremony, Major General, Prof.Dr. Do Quyet, Director of VMMU said: "In recent years, the university has trained many international students, from different countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Cuba, Germany, ... Particularly for The Department of burns, the National Institute of burns is the last line hospital, both inside and outside the Army, assigned to direct the route in the whole country. From 2012, VMMU has directly trained for a group of doctors and nurses from Myanmar.  In the framework of the cooperation between the two armies of Vietnam and Myanmar, with the delivery of burns-oriented specialized training for 6 doctors and nurse from Myanmar is evidence of belief of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of National Defense of Myanmar to the VMMU and the National Institute of burns in particular. The success of the course, the preparation of the university  has been completed, including the development of detailed training programs, the preparation of textbooks in English, accommodation arrangements convenient for practitioners ". At the same time, he directed: In the coming time, the National Institute of burns to coordinate well with the relevant units (the Post Graduate Department, Department of military science, International Unit, ...), thoroughly grasp the Departments and Instructors to  abide by the regime on foreign affairs; to strictly implement the training program; organize theoretical  classes, clinical guidelines in accordance with regulations, to ensure the quality of training in accordance with the objectives and requirements.

At the opening ceremony, Brigadier General Aung Zeya, Myanmar military attaché in Vietnam expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam, VMMU and hoped that the military friendship of the two countries would be stronger. .

Also speaking at the ceremony, Major General, Associate Professor Nguyen GiaTien, director of the National Institute of burnsclaimed: In order to prepare the best classrooms, the hospital has directed the Department of Burns & Disaster Medicine to complete the preparation of the training program consisting of 2 theoretical credit (30 periods in class) 14 practical credits (1,300 periods of practical instruction); Curriculum development, lesson plans in English, content updates suitable for training subjects, assignment of lecturers to lecture classes and practices for classrooms. Officers and staff members, especially instructors and required to uphold the sense of responsibility and strictly abide by the regime on foreign affairs and strictly implement the training program; Organize the theoretical classesand clinical guidelines sticking to regulations to ensure the quality of training in accordance with the objectives and requirements. Finally, he hoped the heads of VMMU, the heads of the units, the Embassy of Myanmar in Vietnam would continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions to achieve the best results  of the class.
