HVQY: As part of a series of activities to mark the 71th anniversary of the invalids-martyrs day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2018), to express gratitude to the invalids with contributions to the revolution as well as the moral "Let every man praise the bridge that carries him over" of the nation; On July 20, 1818, the delegation of the Academy headed by Major General Pham DucTho, deputy political commissar of the Academy visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the invalids, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution at Kim Bang Invalids Nursing Center.

Kim Bang Invalids Nursing Center was established in 1976 with the main task of treating and rehabilitating sick soldiers with mental illness. At present, the Center is raising and taking care of 81 invalids, sick soldiers of special grade, who have lost 81% or more of their working capacity; 33 subjects were martyr's relatives and people with large contributions from more than 20 provinces from Quang Ngai towards to the Northern region. Among the invalids, sick soldiers, many soldiers are suffering from chronic mental illness, mental decline due to brain injury, many other soldiers are suffering from diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure high kidney stones, especially comrades with Agent Orange / Dioxin.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Pham DucTho, deputy political commissar of the Academy affirmed that: paying attention to and taking care of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution are one of the most frequent and practical tasks and have become the tradition of every officer, employee, practitioner, and soldier at the Vietnam Military Medical Academy throughout the years. These activities show the tradition, the motto "Let every man praise the bridge that carries him over", the gratitude of the generation today for the invalids, soldiers who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, construction and protect the country.

In addition, the deputy political commissar also praised the officers and staff of Kim Bang Center for taking care of invalids, sick soldiers and wounded soldiers as their relatives. And also, we hope the officers, soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution with the spirit of "Let every man praise the bridge that carries him over" continue to overcome difficulties, overcome the pain, injury, pain body, living happy, healthy life is a good example for the younger generation of Vietnam to follow; Promoting the tradition of revolutionary families is an exemplary example, encouraging children and grandchildren to participate in labor, production, learning and good deeds to become active factors in the cause of building and protecting the fatherland of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
