Vietnam Military Medical Academy awarded diplomas to 666 doctors and pharmacists

QĐND Online – On August 10, in Hanoi, Vietnam Military Medical University held a graduation ceremony for 666 medical specialists level I, Level II, Civilian doctors, pharmacists (Courses 41, 31, 11, 7, respectively) and 04 pharmacists of Royal Cambodian Army.

Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Chinh, Political Commissar and Major General, Prof. Dr. Do Quyet, Director of Vietnam Military Medical University awarded certificates of merit to the doctors, pharmacists who have excellent academic achievements.

 Persons attending the ceremony were: Major General, Prof. Dr. Do Quyet, Director of Vietnam Military Medical University; Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Chinh, Political commissar of the University and representatives of different units of the university.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General, Prof. Dr Do Quyet congratulated the specialists, doctors and pharmacists who have successfully completed the study program and stressed: To become a physician is very difficult, but to be a physician is much more difficult, because the physician is a special occupation that "only in a harmonious combination of heart and brain, the labor of the physician becomes effective." Patients demand that the physicians not only have professional experience but a real heart of love, a deep understanding and a high sense of responsibility. Because in fact, a patient never has enough clinical and paroxysmal symptoms as mentioned in books. Each patient is unique, therefore, when healing, it is based on the circumstances of each patient.

At the Ceremony, the Major General, Prof. Dr. Do Quyet, expects the new doctors and pharmacists to study continuously for advanced knowledge, professional competence and political will. At the same time, they also have to learn how to behave ethically to the colleagues, patients and the patients’ relatives. “You all have to be aware that Vietnamese people are expecting eagerly for the new talented and virtuous doctors and pharmacists. Consequently, you must try your best to accumulate and improve knowledge, experiences as well as the moral and medical ethics to become good doctors and to accomplish missions”. The General, Prof. Dr. Do Quyet stressed.

In addition, the Major General, Prof. Dr. Do Quyet expects the new doctors and pharmacists have to try their best to devote and apply the knowledge they have learnt in the university in order to contribute to the health care for soldiers and people. At the same time, they must be active in further study to become experts and excellent doctors in Vietnamese health in general and in Military health in particular.
