Formation history: June 2018 (Formerly known as the Department of Heart – Kidney – Joint – Endocrinology, established on December 19, 1959).

Functions and tasks:
– Training:
Training of college and university nurses; long-term doctor trainees of military and civil medicine; graduate students, First- and Second Degree Specialists, resident doctors of general internal medicine and Cardiology; PhD students majoring in Cardiology.
– Scientific research:
Follow guidance on research topics at all levels of cardiology and related majors
– Treatment:
Emergency, medical and surgical treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
– Other duties:
Training and transferring techniques to military hospitals (by level) and civilian hospitals (in need); participating in lower-level examinations, participating in basic rescue teams, carrying out policy work, civil mobilization, etc.

Achievement:
– Regarding training: College, university and postgraduate training to Second-Degree Specialists and doctoral specialties for military and civil medicine trainees with over 13,000 sessions/year. Since 2010, the Division has trained 62 PhD students, 67 Second-Degree Specialists, 323 First-Degree Specialist, 156 postgraduates and 38 resident doctors. Thousands of trainees trained here have become key staff at prestigious medical facilities nationwide. The Division also assists and transfers technology to many major hospitals in the country.
– Regarding treatment: Collection and treatment for over 3,500 patients/year. Regularly implemented advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques are 3D/4D echocardiography, Speckle tracking echocardiography; Electrophysiological exploration and treatment of arrhythmias with radiofrequency (RF) energy, combining an electropositive 3D mapping system – cardiac chamber anatomy; coronary artery and peripheral artery intervention; implantation of CRT and ICD pacemakers; deep vein stenting; aortic stent graft placement; open heart surgery, etc.
– Regarding scientific research: Annually, there are more than 20 articles published in domestic and international specialized journals, various reports at domestic and foreign scientific conferences.
– Regarding the unit construction: For many consecutive years, the Division has been awarded the title of Upright and strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong unit.
