Function: An intensive and leading department specializing in Internal Gastroenterology under a highest-level military hospital.
Duties:
– Training: Doctor, Master of Internal Medicine and Internal Gastroenterology, First-Degree Specialist, Second-Degree Specialist of General Internal Medicine, Internal Gastroenterology, long-term general doctor of Military Medicine, Civil Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, specialization in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy diagnosis and intervention, directing military and civil medicine levels in terms of Internal Gastroenterology.
– Scientific research on Internal Gastroenterology, application of new and highly advanced technology, improvement of quality of diagnosis, emergency and treatment.
– Treatment: Diagnosis, counseling and treatment of all internal gastroenterology and related medical diseases.

– Examination and collection of outpatient and inpatient patients with gastrointestinal tract diseases, liver, bile and pancreas diseases.

Key techniques:
– Vascular intervention for treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (TOCE, TACE, DEB-TACE, tare, HAIC…).
– Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), diagnosis and treatment of a number of biliary pathologies: cholangiography, removal of gallstones and worms in biliary tract, placement of biliary stents, treatment of biliary obstruction due to tumors, biliary leakage…
– Endoscopic procedures to treat upper gastrointestinal bleeding: Ligation of esophageal veins; histoacryl injection for aneurysmal varicose veins; hemoclip for hemostasis; placement of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) for treatment and prevention of recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding.
– Endoscopic gastrointestinal polyp removal and intensive techniques for early diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer (EMR, ESD).
– Capsule endoscopy to diagnose small intestine diseases.
– Dilatation and placement of esophageal stents, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), internal hemorrhoid ligation with rubber bands, laser hemorrhoid treatment, Percutaneous ultrasound-guided liver biopsy.
