4. Functions: It is a training institution specializing in the field of functional rehabilitation within the military and one of the leading units at the forefront of the military’s efforts in functional recovery.
5. Duties:
– Education: train Level I/II Specialist doctors in rehabilitation, military and civillian general practictioners, and bachelor’s degree in nursing; conduct continuously training programs to impart fundamental knowledge and practical skills in physical therapy and functional rehabilitation; provide specialized courses on advanced techniques in shoulder joint functional rehabilitation, disc herniation, and post-stroke functional recovery.
– Scientific research: conduct researches related to physical therapy and functional rehabilitation, focusing on the application of advanced and high-tech techniques; research new techniques and methods for the rehabilitation of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
– Treatment: conduct diagnosis, assessment, consultation, and the execution of various physical therapy techniques, including orthopedic correction, training equipment utilization, and proper medication administration, all aimed at optimizing the restoration of function for patients.
6. Professional activities:
– Consisting of 20 patient beds.
– Providing outpatient and inpatient examination and treatment services for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, joint, muscle, and trauma-related disorders.
– The Faculty – Department’s strength lies in its pioneering development of national-leading methods for restoring function in patients with conditions such as frozen shoulder, disc herniation, post-stroke functional recovery, and central nervous system injuries.
7. Pivotal techniques:
– Treatment of frozen shoulder under brachial plexus anesthesia, and vertebral manipulation for disc herniation treatment.
– Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, swallowing disorder rehabilitation, and motor function restoration for patients with neurological injuries and other central nervous system damage such as brain injuries, and inflammation of the brain.
– Rehabilitation for function recovery after trauma and orthopedic corrections.
– High-pressure oxygen therapy for hearing loss, circulatory disorders, acute stroke, and arterial insufficiency.
