Training mission:
– Provide specialized training programs for different target groups, including undergraduate and postgraduate students (Ph.D., master, doctor specialist level I and II).
Scientific research mission:
– Conduct research projects at the national and ministry levels.
– Participate in international cooperation and technology transfer.
Mission in line work:
– Provide support, technology transfer, and participate in guiding activities in digestive surgery.
5. Key Techniques:
– Minimally invasive abdominal surgeries: Laparoscopic procedures for stomach, colon, and esophagus.
– Interventional treatments for gallstones: Endoscopic gallbladder and bile duct surgeries. Endoscopic stone fragmentation for bile duct stones.
– Emergency general abdominal surgeries: Appendectomy, abdominal trauma surgeries.
– Organ transplantation: Liver and pancreas transplantation.
6. Achievements and Awards:
– In 2004, successfully participated in the first liver transplant in Vietnam.
– In 2008, awarded the Third-class Fatherland Protection Medal.
– In 2011, awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces.
– In 2014, successfully participated in the first multi-organ transplant (simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplant) in Vietnam and was awarded the Third-class Labor Medal.
– In 2018, awarded the Second-class Fatherland Protection Medal.
