– The Military Faculty was established on June 12, 1964.
– Process of formation and development
+ On June 12, 1964, due to training mission requirements, the Department of Military Medical Command & Organization was reorganized into three divisions: Military Division, Military Medical Command Organization Division, and Military Medical Supply Division.
+ At the end of 1966, the Department of Military Medical Command & Organization was separated into two departments: the Department of Rear Military Training – Physical Education and Sports (K70), and the Department of Military Medical Command & Organization (K10).
+ At the end of 1974, the Department of Military Medical Command & Organization and the Department of Rear Military Training – Physical Training and Sports were merged into the Department of Military Rear Services, Military Medical Command & Organization (K10).
+ In April 1981, due to the mission requirements of the University, the Department of Military Rear Services and the Department of Military Medical Command & Organization (K10) were split into two departments: Department of Military (K15), Department of Military Medical Command & Organization (K10).
+ In February 1982, the Department of Military (K15) was split into two departments: the Department of General Military Affairs (K15), and the Department of Campaign and Tactical Art (K16).
+ In August 1986, the Department of General Military Affairs (K15) was split into two departments: the Department of General Military Affairs (K15), and the Department of Physical Training for National Defense (K70).
+ In August 1988, the Department of General Military Affairs (K15) and the Department of Campaign and Tactical Art (K16) were merged to form the Department of Military (K18).
+ On February 19, 1992, the Department of Military (K18) and the Department of Physical Training for National Defense (K70) were merged to form the Department of Military-Physical Training for National Defense (K18).
+ In 2017, according to the Decision of the Ministry of National Defense, the Department of Military–Physical Training for National Defense (K18) was renamed the Military Faculty (K18) and was organized into three departments: Department of Tactics and Campaigns, Department of General Military Affairs, Department of Physical Training and Sports for National Defense.
3. Functions and responsibilities
The Military Faculty is responsible for organizing the implementation of teaching and scientific research tasks in the field of military studies, military sports and related disciplines. It operates under the leadership and guidance of the Party Committee, the University’s Board of Directors, and the professional guidance of relevant authorities. The Faculty is responsible for commanding and managing its officers and employees in accordance with the regulations of the military and the University.
