The Postgraduate Department closely aligns with the university’s objectives and effectively fulfills the increasing training requirements. Thanks to the attention and guidance from the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, as well as the enthusiastic cooperation and support from various departments, faculties, student management units within the university, as well as external organizations and colleagues, the Postgraduate Department has made relentless efforts to overcome challenges and successfully fulfill its assigned tasks, achieving numerous accomplishments. The department has played a role in shaping the university toward regularity, scientific advancement, and modernization, making it a key national university and a center for military and national education, scientific research, and treatment.

The Postgraduate Department of the Vietnam Military Medical University continually innovates its training organization and student management efforts to enhance the quality of education. The examination process is carried out rigorously and in compliance with established norms. The university also encourages postgraduate students and research fellows to write and defend their theses and dissertations in English to improve the quality of education. To ensure strict control over the training process and enhance the integrity of theses, the university organizes thesis data review boards to ensure the objectivity, scientific validity, and reliability of the theses before the defense process. The training of Ph.D. degree holders has become increasingly refined and highly professional. The Vietnam Military Medical University is recognized as a top center for training Ph.D. degree holders in medicine and pharmacy, a trusted destination for healthcare professionals within and outside the military.
Many postgraduate students, after successfully defending their doctoral theses at the university, return to their respective workplaces and advance their careers. Over time, they have become leading scientists, professors, associate professors, and top experts in their specialized fields, while also holding high-level leadership positions at various healthcare departments, bureaus, offices, hospitals, universities, institutes, and research centers. Despite their successful careers, they always cherish the unforgettable memories of their time at the Vietnam Military Medical University.
