Over the years, scientific research initiatives led by the University’s youth have consistently received profound attention and comprehensive support from Party committees and commanders at all levels. This commitment has translated into numerous outstanding milestones, particularly in student-led research. Scientific projects and technical innovation initiatives spearheaded by young staff and students have been consistently rated as high-quality by scientific councils across various levels. In 2025, VMMU’s young researchers secured a series of prestigious awards at ministerial, sectoral, and national levels. At the 25th Creative Youth Award in the Military, the University clinched one First Prize, four Second Prizes, one Third Prize, and six Consolation Prizes. Notably, 100% of the projects submitted to the National Student Science and Technology Award earned accolades, including one First Prize, two Second Prizes, four Third Prizes, and one Consolation Prize. Most remarkably, for the first time, every submission in the Medicine and Pharmacy categories achieved a Third Prize or higher, cementing the University’s position as the top-performing unit within the Medicine and Pharmacy Council.

Through scientific research activities, the younger generation is empowered to leverage their intellectual and creative potential, enabling them to access and gradually master science and technology in their professional roles. For students, cultivating a scientific mindset and methodology serves as a vital foundation for honing their expertise. This significantly contributes to the overall improvement of training, medical treatment, and scientific research standards at VMMU.

Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Tien addresses the conference.
Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Tien commended the various departments and faculties for their dedicated efforts in mentoring the University’s youth in scientific research. To further elevate the quality and effectiveness of the student research movement, ensuring that projects possess high scientific rigor, modern methodology, and substantive research thinking, he urged Party committees, commanders of all agencies and units, and scientists to provide stronger leadership and facilitate more favorable conditions. This is intended to ensure that student research activities are sustained regularly, gain greater depth, and become increasingly well-structured. For faculty members, the Director emphasized that beyond providing guidance and imparting knowledge, they must create opportunities for students to exercise independent and creative thinking, allowing them to participate directly in the execution of research projects.
