2026 Admission Methods of Vietnam Military Medical University

2026 Admission Methods of Vietnam Military Medical University
In 2026, the University will flexibly implement various admission methods to comprehensively evaluate candidates’ abilities:
Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission (in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of National Defense).
Method 2: Admission based on results of the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination.
Method 3: Admission based on competency assessment test scores from Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
Method 4 (For Military system only): Admission based on the competency assessment examination organized by the Ministry of National Defense.
Admission Quotas and Subject Combinations
The University clearly allocates quotas for each category as follows:
Civilian system: Expected to accept 250 students for the two majors: General Medicine and Pharmacy.
Military system: Quotas will be implemented in accordance with separate regulations of the Ministry of National Defense (including a priority allocation of 10% of total quotas for female candidates).
Subject Combinations:
General Medicine: Accepts combinations A00, B00, and D07.
Pharmacy: Accepts only A00 and D07 (B00 is not accepted).
Age and Physical Requirements
Due to the nature of its training environment, applicants must meet strict background and health requirements.
Age Requirements
Civilians (non-military youth): From 17 to 21 years old.
Active-duty soldiers, discharged soldiers, or citizens who have completed police service: From 18 to 23 years old.
Physical and Health Standards
Male candidates: Minimum height of 1.63m and weight of at least 50kg.
Female candidates: Minimum height of 1.54m and weight of at least 48kg.
Vision: Candidates must not have myopia exceeding 3 diopters.
Mandatory Pre-Qualification Process
A key distinction in admissions to military institutions is the mandatory pre-screening stage. Candidates wishing to apply must complete a preliminary review to verify documentation and health status:
Location: District-level Military Command Office where the candidate’s permanent residence is registered.
Timeframe: From March 1 to May 20, 2026.
Passing the pre-screening stage is a prerequisite for official admission consideration.
