On the afternoon of April 12, in Hoc Mon district (Ho Chi Minh City), the Vietnam Military Medical University (Ministry of National Defense) collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training to organize an information dissemination and career guidance program for military enrollment in 2024.

Leaders from the Vietnam Military Medical University, the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the Department of Education and Training, along with numerous soldiers and students from the city attended the event.

Major General Tran Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University, spoke at the program.

Major General Tran Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University, announced that in 2024, the university would enroll 385 students, with a 10% female quota. Admission methods include direct admission, recruiting excellent students (up to 15%), admission based on high school graduation exam results, and admission based on capacity assessment from Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University (up to 20%). Admission criteria also include high school graduation exam scores in specific subject combinations.

During the information dissemination sessions, university staff provided detailed information on subjects, regions, admission standards, registration procedures, required documents, pre-qualification processes, and the rights and obligations of successful candidates. The university utilized various mediums such as videos, clips, pictures, photos, and leaflets to convey information directly to students and soldiers. Admission officers interacted with attendees, addressed inquiries, and provided guidance effectively.

The military recruitment information dissemination and career guidance program aimed to enhance understanding of the Vietnam Military Medical University’s traditions, recruitment, and training processes. It also aimed to raise awareness among students and soldiers about their role in maintaining the health of soldiers and citizens and contributing to the defense and development of the nation. Additionally, it sought to improve the quality of enrollment and attract qualified candidates to the Vietnam Military Medical University in 2024.
