Advancing the Quality of Doctoral Education at Vietnam Military Medical University
On the morning of May 26, Vietnam Military Medical University held its 15th Scientific Conference for Doctoral Researchers in 2025. Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Tien, Director of Vietnam Military Medical University, attended and delivered the opening address.
In his opening address, Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Tien affirmed that scientific research is a cornerstone of Vietnam Military Medical University’s development strategy. He emphasized that, amid the rapid advancement of medical science, doctoral candidates must not only possess strong professional expertise but also demonstrate independent research capabilities, critical thinking, and the ability to apply knowledge in practical settings.

Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Tien emphasized that the dissertation research process for doctoral candidates involves multiple stages and demands a high level of integrity, objectivity, and accuracy in data reporting. He noted that the verification of data and the approval procedures for dissertation topics have been implemented in a structured and methodical manner.
Aligned with the trends of development and global integration, Vietnam Military Medical University remains committed to introducing comprehensive measures to support doctoral candidates. These efforts aim to address difficulties and obstacles encountered throughout their academic and research journey, ensuring they are well-equipped to complete their dissertations with excellence.

The 15th Scientific Conference for Doctoral Researchers featured 15 presentations covering a wide range of disciplines including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Biomedical Sciences, Oncology, and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
The presentations were evaluated by three specialized academic councils, composed of 21 experienced scientists from Vietnam Military Medical University with expertise in the respective research fields.
