Continuously improving the quality of diagnostic imaging in medical diagnosis and treatment

On May 3-5,  the Military Medical Department and Military Hospital 103 organized a nationwide training course in the “Diagnostic Imaging” speciality for 2024, focusing on “Updating some aspects of ultrasound and computed tomography scanning.

The training course aims to update new knowledge, provide additional information, and guide practical applications in computed tomography scanning and both basic and advanced ultrasound for doctors working at diagnostic imaging centers, departments, and units of hospitals and clinics.

Speaking at the training session, Colonel Tran Duy Hung, Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department, emphasized: “All trainees need to uphold a spirit of responsibility, openly discuss unclear issues, and the limitations and inadequacies in practical activities, in order to clarify these matters of common concern with the lecturers and speakers, and further to enrich their knowledge and experience through this training conference.

The training session lasted for two days. The first day focused on ultrasound and interventional ultrasound techniques. The second day featured a scientific conference on Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. At the training session, all presentations were meticulously and thoughtfully prepared.

Right after the opening of the training session, the organizing committee announced and decided to establish the Sub-Association of Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine for the Vietnamese armed forces. This aims to continuously improve knowledge and professional skills and update new information about doctors’ and technicians’ specialities. It also serves as a platform for members to exchange and share work experiences and scientific reporting experiences, thereby fostering stronger connections among doctors and technicians in the fields of diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine.

Modern diagnostic imaging techniques are increasingly developing. Organizing training sessions helps doctors consolidate their basic knowledge, update new information, and apply it in a practical, effective, and appropriate manner for each treatment level in the military. This continuously improves the quality of examinations and diagnostic imaging, enhancing the quality of healthcare services for patients and the public.
