That was the sharing of Major Son Chom Ron, a student of the 31st Master’s course at the graduation ceremony of the 31st Master’s course of Lao People’s Army and Royal Cambodian Army at Vietnam Military Medical University (VMMU) in the afternoon of September 26th.
Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Military Medical Academy attended and spoke at the ceremony. Also attending the ceremony were Major General Nghiem Duc Thuan, Political Commissar of VMMU, representatives of the Royal Cambodian Army’s Military Attaché and the Lao Defense Attaché in Vietnam, and 8 graduates of the 31st Master’s course at VMMU.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien said that postgraduate training of VMMU has always been affirmed as a crucial task of the school. Postgraduate training is constantly innovated to improve quality, affirm the prestige and inherent brand of VMMU, by providing society with highly skilled doctors, good professional ethics and proficiency in foreign languages in expertise and communication.
VMMU currently trains 14 majors for master’s level with 44 majors, including new majors such as: Otorhinolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, neuroscience, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery… Not only Vietnamese students, there are also many foreign students studying, including students of the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army.

The Director of VMMU congratulated the graduate students of the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army on their graduation and affirmed that, in addition to the efforts of each student, they also received the attention, leadership, and support of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of VMMU; the Postgraduate Department, the International Student Management System, and relevant authorities; the dedicated teaching and guidance of departments and faculties, of teachers, as well as the attention, care, and facilitation of agencies, units, families, and friends…
Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien hopes that, with the knowledge and skills they have been trained, when they return to their units, the students will contribute more to the military medical system of the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army.

Sharing at the ceremony, Major Son Chom Ron, a student of the 31st Master’s Class, affirmed that the time studying and training at VMMU has brought not only knowledge, but also valuable
experiences to each student. In particular, the course also helps to strengthen the traditional relationship, solidarity and friendship of the State and people of the three Indochinese countries to contribute to cultivating the precious traditional friendship and solidarity between the three brotherly countries of Vietnam – Cambodia – Laos at present and in the future.
