Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital commemorates the 69th Anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day
On February 26, in Hanoi, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, in collaboration with Vietnam Military Medical University, organized a gathering to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 – February 27, 2024).
The event was attended by comrades including Lieutenant General Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Ngoc Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of Vietnam Military Medical University; Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Nhu Lam, Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Hospital; Party Committee members of the hospital’s leadership, commanders, and representatives from different periods.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Military Medical University, Lieutenant General Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Ngoc Tuan expressed profound gratitude to the previous generations who tirelessly contributed to building and nurturing the traditions of the hospital. He commended the achievements of Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital over the past years.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Nhu Lam, an Outstanding Doctor and the Director of Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, emphasized: In 2023, the hospital successfully overcame challenges related to infrastructure, implemented comprehensive and focused tasks to fulfill its mission. The quality of treatment was maintained and improved, with the development of techniques accompanied by ensuring patient safety. Many modern techniques continue to be effectively deployed and applied in medical treatments.

Many severely and critically burned patients have been successfully saved, and those with burn sequelae, severe injuries, and chronic wounds due to complex conditions have been treated successfully. The management and administration have been enhanced, maintaining a disciplined and rigorous hospital specialist system. Building a team of ethical and highly skilled medical professionals, excelling in healthcare protection and services for the people, has been effectively carried out.

In the upcoming period, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the hospital have identified key priorities: Concentrating on comprehensive leadership and direction for all aspects of work; implementing the new healthcare examination and treatment regulations. Establishing a roadmap and systematically implementing effective digitalization of hospital processes; reviewing, supplementing, and deploying new techniques; reinforcing the education of ethics and behavioral culture among the staff; constructing a hospital that is friendly, civilized, and professional; ensuring timely and sufficient supplies of medicine, chemicals, and medical equipment to support treatment activities. Always striving to successfully fulfill the functions and tasks of being the leading unit in the Military and Medical sectors.
