Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital held its 2024 military-political conference
On the afternoon of January 13th, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital held its 2024 military-political conference.
Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University (VMMU) directed the conference. Major General, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Nhu Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Hospital presided over the conference.

In 2024, thanks to the guidance and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, particularly leaders of VMMU as well as the support of higher-level professional agencies and affiliated units. Along with the concerted efforts, unity, and determination of the entire staff, the hospital has successfully completed all assigned tasks in which some tasks being completed exceptionally well.
Besides, the tasks of examination, admission, emergency treatment, and patient care were ensured promptly and effectively in 2024. The hospital has gained high recognition and the materialistic and spiritual lives of the hospital’s staff has also been continuously improved.
A total of 8,943 patients were examined, a 10.17% increase compared to 2023 and exceeding the 2024 target by 5.8%. The bed occupancy rate reached 93.1%, with an average length of stay of 17 days.
Scientific research activities were comprehensively implemented with 17 projects being evaluated (2 ministerial-level projects, 1 sectoral project, and 14 grassroots projects) and 9 new solutions, innovations, and techniques.
Major General, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Nhu Lam, Director of the Hospital awarded prizes to collectives and individuals who achieved excellent results in the emulation movements of 2024.
The hospital, together with local authorities, built 2 charity houses for poor households in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province and Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province. They also awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to 20 poor but excellent students and provided 100 health insurance cards (worth 90 million VND) to 100 disadvantaged students in localities in Huong Son district.
The hospital completed 100% of the military training program for all subjects, strictly maintained regimes, enhanced regular discipline, and fostered discipline. The hospital achieved the title of “exemplary and typical unit,” and “a clean and strong party organization”, then was awarded the “Excellent Unit in the 2024 Victory Emulation Movement” flag by the Minister of Defense.
Based on the results achieved in 2024, Major General, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Nhu Lam requested that the hospital should focus on deploying and applying new techniques, improving the quality of training, admission, emergency treatment, implementing good communication and behavior with patients and their families, strictly maintaining the hospital’s professional regimes, continuously improving medical ethics, and building a scientific, civilized, polite, and effective working style in 2025.
The hospital needs to effectively manage the ideas of its staff, officers, and soldiers, thoroughly understand and strictly implement the Party’s directives and resolutions, successfully organize the Party Congress at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
At the conference, the hospital awarded prizes to collectives and individuals who achieved excellent results in the emulation movements of 2024.
