On the afternoon of October 18, in Hanoi, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital (Vietnam Military Medical University) organized the “Charming Ao Dai Hospital” Contest in 2024. This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20 and towards the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital (December 1, 1964 / December 1, 2024).

The contest honors the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women through the charming Ao Dai and affirms the important role of women in all areas of social life; this is a useful playground that contributes to enhancing the spirit of solidarity, learning and bonding in life as well as in the profession of the sisters at the hospital.

Attending and congratulating the competition were Major General, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Nhu Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Hospital; Colonel Nguyen Trung Thuc, Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Director of the Hospital; comrades in the Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Hospital; leaders of departments, divisions, centers, and all staff and members of the women’s associations in the hospital.

Speaking at the competition, Colonel Nguyen Trung Thuc congratulated the women in the entire hospital on October 20, and shared: The hospital’s women’s association members make up a large number and play a very important role. The activities organized by the Hospital in the past time demonstrate the deep concern of the Hospital Board of Directors in improving the material and spiritual life of all cadres, employees, soldiers in general and women’s union members in particular. Today’s contest further promotes the emulation movement “Good at work, good at home” of the Hospital’s women, contributing to building a clean, strong and exemplary Party Committee, a comprehensively strong Hospital “Exemplary”.

In 2024, the Hospital organized a large-scale and professional competition, competing between 13 groups from nearly 20 centers, departments, faculties, and divisions. The judges are fashion experts – designers, veteran women’s association presidents with a lot of experience from other units’ Women’s Associations; the contestants prepared very carefully and meticulously from costumes to knowledge and skills. The contest includes the following contents: Ao Dai group photo contest and Ao Dai and medical uniform performance; talent, knowledge, behavioral skills, and synthesis ability.

At the award ceremony, the contestants brought impressive performances. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 collective prizes and 9 individual prizes.
