Right from early morning, a large number of people came to the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Hua Thanh Commune to receive health examination and advice from doctors of Military Hospital 103. |
This is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 / May 7, 2024), the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 / December 22, 2024) and 35 years of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 / December 22, 2024).

According to Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Ngan, in order to implement the Army’s family policy, the ethics of ” Gratitute is the sign of noble souls”, “Repay gratitude”, and be grateful to those who have contributed to the Nation’s good cause, while strengthening the great solidarity of the entire nation. In recent years, Military Hospital 103 has always implemented the combined military-civilian medical program effectively, organizing many medical examination and health consulting groups, providing free medicine and gifts for war invalids, sick soldiers, policy families, people with meritorious services to the Revolution, and poor households in remote and extremely difficult areas, among others.

Mr. Quang Van Can, born in 1935 in Co Puc village, Hua Thanh commune, shared: “The difficult economic conditions have prevented my family from receiving medical examination. Since the today’s announcement of a medical team consisting of the doctors from Military Hospital 103 for provision of medical examination, healthcare advice, and free medicine, I got up at 5 a.m. and told my son to take me here to wait for my turn to be examined. This is the first time I have been examined and given health advice by doctors at Military Hospital 103.”

Upon joining this activity, the doctors at Military Hospital 103 organized medical examinations and health consultations in various medical specialties such as eyes, noses and throats, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and cardiovascular diseases, among others. They also provided free medicine to 1,000 people, and presented 20 gifts worth of 20 million VND to policy families in Hua Thanh commune.
