On June 5 and 6, Military Hospital 103 (Vietnam Military Medical University), in coordination with the Vietnam Neurosurgical Society, hosted the Vietnam Young Neurosurgeons Conference and the 2026 Asian Neuroscience Nursing Conference.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Nguyen Thanh Bac, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103, stated that in recent years, the hospital has continuously invested in the development of neurosurgery in a specialized and modern direction, gradually mastering numerous advanced techniques in neurosurgery and spine surgery.

The hospital has also intensified efforts to build promising and strong research groups, promote clinical and applied research, expand international cooperation, and facilitate technology transfer in order to generate scientific products with high practical value, thereby effectively serving the healthcare needs of military personnel and the public.

“Through this conference, Military Hospital 103 hopes to continue receiving support, cooperation, and the sharing of expertise from specialists and neurosurgical centers both domestically and internationally, thereby building a dynamic, innovative, and globally integrated scientific community,” emphasized Sr. Col., Assoc. At present, neurosurgery is among the leading specialties in the application of emerging technologies, including next-generation microsurgery, endoscopic surgery, neuronavigation, artificial intelligence, big data, robotic-assisted surgery, virtual reality simulation technologies, as well as minimally invasive interventions and personalized treatment approaches. These advances have profoundly transformed the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of complex neurological disorders, opening up new opportunities to improve patients’ quality of life.

The Vietnam Young Neurosurgeons Conference and the 2026 Asian Neuroscience Nursing Conference brought together leading experts from Vietnam and many countries around the world.
