At the Commendation Ceremony for Outstanding Young Faces and Promising Young Faces of the Vietnam People’s Army in 2025, Senior Sergeant Le Vu Lam Dien (cadet of Class DH54A, System 4, Vietnam Military Medical University) was honored to be selected as one of the Promising Young Faces of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Born and raised in Dong Thap Province, often referred to as the “Land of Pink Lotuses,” Lam Dien dreamed of becoming a military doctor after graduating from high school. With determination and perseverance, she continuously strived to achieve the goals she had set for himself and overcome each milestone along the way. In 2020, she began her studies and military training at Vietnam Military Medical University.

Le Vu Lam Dien has distinguished herself through an impressive record of achievements in academic, scientific research, and extracurricular activities. For several consecutive years, she was awarded the title of Grassroots Emulation Soldier, and in 2025, she was recognized as an Army-wide Emulation Soldier. These accomplishments stand as a testament to herhe perseverance, discipline, and unwavering commitment to self-improvement.

Le Vu Lam Dien won First Prize in the individual category of the 4th English Olympiad for military academies, officer-training schools, and universities across the Vietnam People’s Army in 2024.

In addition to achieving a Good academic classification, during the 2024-2025 academic year, Le Vu Lam Dien excelled by winning First Prize in the 4th English Olympiad for military academies, officer-training schools, and universities across the Army in 2024. He also earned Second Prize at the Student Scientific Research Conference in 2023 and Third Prize in 2025. These achievements reflect her scientific mindset, systematic learning approach, and aspiration to access modern medical knowledge, all of which are essential qualities for a military physician in an era of international integration.

In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in study and training, Le Vu Lam Dien has received numerous prestigious awards, including a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of National Defence for the 2021-2022 period, a Certificate of Merit from the Political Commissar of Vietnam Military Medical University, along with many other commendations.
