The Faculty of Military Affairs, Vietnam Military Medical University builds a team of truly exemplary and didactic staff and lecturers

On June 12, in Hanoi, the Faculty of Military Affairs, VMMU held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Traditional Day (June 12, 1964 – June 12, 2024) and received the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of National Defense. Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan, Political Commissar of VMMU attended and delivered a congratulatory speech.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of 60 years of construction, development and growth of the Faculty. The Military Faculty was formerly the military department of the Military Medical Service Group established on June 12, 1964.

Since the early days of its establishment, there have been many difficulties in terms of teaching staff and facilities, but the Party Committee and commanders of the Military Faculty have always united and paid attention to fostering, building, and creating resources for lecturers overtime, therefore the quantity and quality of the Faculty’s staff and lecturers are constantly improved.

Currently, 100% of the Faculty’s lecturers have postgraduate degrees, of which more than 13% have doctoral degrees, many times they have been recognized as good lecturers at the university level. With outstanding achievements, the Faculty of Military Affairs was honored to be awarded many noble awards, notably: 4 Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense, 10 years of achieving the title “Determined to Victory Unit”, and many other noble rewards.

Speaking at the Celebration, on behalf of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of VMMU, Major General Nghiem Duc Thuan acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Military Faculty; At the same time, the Faculty of Military Affairs is required to regularly thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement leadership resolutions of party committees at all levels, especially on education, training, and military and defense work. Continue to innovate content and teaching methods, proactively update and supplement training programs in the direction of standardization, modernization, and suitability for the target audience. At the ceremony, authorized by the Minister of National Defense, Major General Nghiem Duc Thuan awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to the Military Faculty for outstanding achievements in work from 2022 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building the Army, strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland.
