In 2024, under the close leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Military Medical University, along with professional guidance from functional agencies, the Party Committee of the hospital successfully led the hospital to fulfill its tasks effectively, with many missions completed excellently. The hospital implemented numerous solutions to improve the quality of treatment, training, and scientific research; ensured logistical, technical, and financial support for its operations; provided adequate supplies of medication, materials, and chemicals for treatment missions; and proactively carried out repairs and maintenance of equipment.
The hospital successfully organized the 60th anniversary celebration of its founding (December 1, 1964 – December 1, 2024) and received the Second-Class Labor Order. The entire hospital focused on building a comprehensively strong, ‘exemplary and outstanding’ unit, fostering high levels of unity and consensus within its personnel. Work routines and operational procedures were rigorously maintained, while medical ethics and cultural behavior in communication continued to improve.
During the year, the hospital introduced several new techniques, such as the application of ECMO for treating severe burn patients, radiotherapy combined with surgery for treating keloid scars, liposuction to thin skin flaps, and facial reconstruction using ultra-thin flaps. It successfully completed 17 projects at the academy level, prepared to conclude 1 project at the Ministry of National Defense level, and initiated 1 project under the Department of Science and Technology. The hospital also approved cooperative protocols and ethical research guidelines with ASEAN countries under the ARCH project. Efforts were intensified to expand the range of diseases treated for training purposes. Many patients with severe burns, complex complications, multiple pathologies, and combined injuries were successfully saved.

Colonel Nguyen Trung Thuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, presided over the conference.
Delivering directives at the conference, Major General, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. Nghiem Duc Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Vietnam Military Medical University, commended the achievements of the hospital’s officers, staff, and soldiers. The hospital will adopt comprehensive measures to build a comprehensively strong and ‘exemplary, outstanding’ unit.
It will continue to focus on three breakthrough areas and build a Party Committee that is strong in political, ideological, ethical, organizational, and personnel aspects. Additionally, the hospital’s Party Committee will focus on leading and directing the preparation and successful organization of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term within the hospital’s Party Committee, ensuring strict compliance with procedures and principles.
