This aimed to assist colleagues in medical examination and treatment to enhance the quality of healthcare for both the military and the general population in the coming time.

During the opening speech of the conference, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien, Director of the Military Medical Academy, emphasized that in recent years, alongside the nationwide development of the oncology field, the Department-Center for Oncology, Military Hospital 103, and the Military Medical Academy have made remarkable progress in training, scientific research, and treatment. Many research results with application of modern advanced techniques to improve diagnostic and treatment capabilities have been employed, yielding high efficiency in medical examination and treatment of cancer and cancer patient management.

However, the development of new techniques, challenging technologies, diagnostic and treatment procedures, and the management of cancer patients in a general hospital still require the sharing of experiences among units, major centers, and leading experts in the field of cancer nationwide. Additionally, there is a need to transfer these new and challenging techniques to lower-level facilities for widespread medical achievements.
