Vietnam Medical Military University honors 85 outstanding pupils on International Children’s Day
On the morning of May 25th, Vietnam Medical Military University (VMMU) held a meeting with outstanding pupils, disabled children and those whose parents are the cadres and employees working for VMMU in the school year 2023-2024 on the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1st).
This is an activity in response to the “Month of Action for Children”, the “National Month of Action on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence” and Vietnamese Family Day launched by the Military Women’s Union.
Attending and speaking at the meeting were Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Political Commissar of VMMU. There were representatives and leaders of VMMU ‘s subordinate agencies and units, parents and outstanding pupils present at the meeting.

Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam emphasized that the 85 outstanding children attended the meeting representing more than 1.500 excellent children of cadres who work for VMMU. Specifically, 11 children won national prizes, 13 children won provincial and municipal prizes, 44 children won district and communal prizes, 11 children with serious illnesses and disabilities, 6 children with difficult family circumstances. Over the past school years, diligent hardworking pupils have made strenuous efforts to overcome difficulties and achieve many commendable results. Many students have been excellent students in consecutive years while others participated in competitions and won prizes at national, provincial, municipal, district and communal levels. Some pupils are from families with difficult circumstances and disabilities, but they still have made great efforts to excel in study and always are obedient, filial.

Deputy Political Commissar of VMMU hopes that the children will reach higher levels of education in the future and become the cadets and students of VMMU.
On this occasion, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam also highly appreciated the activities of the Committee for Population and mass organizations of VMMU to organize many practical activities. for children. Besides, he also required all sectors, mass organizations and each individual of VMMU to enthusiastically respond and participate in activities for children, giving children the best that they can have. Children of those work for VMMU were encouraged to develop comprehensively in terms of virtue, intellect and physical health to become good future owners of the country.
