Vietnam Military Medical University awarded undergraduate degrees to military medical doctors and resident doctors in 2024

On the morning of March 21st, in Hanoi, Vietnam Military Medical University held a Graduation Ceremony for 229 course members of K51 trained for military medical doctors, and 22 course members of k22 trained for resident doctors in 2024.

Attending the ceremony, the representatives from Vietnam Military Medical University (hereafter VMMU) were Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien, Director of VMMU; Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of VMMU. Also attending the ceremony were the representatives of the School Department, the General Staff; Department of Personnel, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army; Department of Military Medicine, General Department of Logistics; Department of Training, Ministry of Public Security, among others.

Outstanding graduation representatives

During the process of studying and training at VMMU, all the students have been motivated to strive, be self-disciplined, have a sense of responsibility as well as strictly comply with the given rules and regulations. It is undeniable that they have been equipped with precious knowledge, and at the same time, have actively participated in the scientific research movement, and completed internship at respective civil military hospitals and units.

Specifically, the training course of military medical general practitioner of K51 had a graduation rate of 97.44%, of which 16.17% graduated with excellent grades, and 75.74% completed with good ones. It should also be noted that this is a course with many students proactively taking the exam and being awarded international English certificates according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense. Meanwhile, the medical residency students of K22 all met their annual academic requirements and exceeded the set targets. To be more specific, 100% of the students taking the graduation exam achieved good or better scores, and 100% completed the defense of graduation thesis in English. The graduation ranking has included 100% good or excellent results, with 8 excellent students and 14 good students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien congratulated the new military general practitioners of the 51st course and the new resident doctors of the 22nd course. At the same time, we hope that all the graduates will apply the knowledge they have learned, and try their best to contribute to the cause of health care for the soldiers, police and people. It is also expected that they would quickly become experts and good physicians in the medical industry in general, and the Vietnamese military medical industry in particular.
