In his speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Kien, Director of VMMU, affirmed: The remarkable development, new appearance, and position of the present-day VMMU are the results nurtured and built by generations of officers, staff, cadets, soldiers, and workers, including the contributions and intellectual efforts of the comrades from the second Course.
During the difficult years of the resistance against the United States for national salvation, VMMU supported the dreams of the cadets of the second Course. Over the period of 50 years since graduation, the comrades from the second Course have continuously strived in their positions, upholding the heroic traditions of VMMU, and affirming the position and prestige of VMMU in work.
Many comrades from the second Course have had the honor of being entrusted with important responsibilities by the Party, State, and the military. Numerous comrades have held high-ranking positions, attained the rank of general, and distinguished themselves as respected educators, doctors, and reputable scientists.
The achievements, dedication, and personal growth of the graduates in general, and the second-course cadets in particular, serve as a great source of encouragement and inspiration for current cadets who are studying and training in VMMU. They also inspire the officers, staff, soldiers, and workers of the present-day VMMU to strive even harder, innovate, and set a higher standard in the mission of nurturing and developing individuals.
