In recent years, VMMU has actively innovated and improved the quality of training based on capabilities and specific outcomes. Alongside the innovation of content and training programs, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University have strongly led and directed the innovation of teaching methods. In line with the trend of innovating military medical education at VMMU, the current goal of teaching social sciences and humanities is also shifting from equipping knowledge to developing the necessary capabilities and qualities for learners.
Speaking at the seminar, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan expressed his desire for the seminar to be an opportunity to share, exchange, and discuss to further clarify theoretical issues, practical experiences, and innovative solutions in teaching social sciences and humanities at military academies and schools in general, at VMMU in particular. The results of the seminar will provide scientific arguments to help the Party Committee and the Board of Directors continue to formulate appropriate policies and solutions for effective leadership and guidance, aiming to enhance the quality of teaching social sciences and humanities in training cadets.

Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan suggested that the presentations should focus on objectively assessing the results of leadership, guidance, and implementation of the Decision No. 1650/QD-CT dated September 25, 2018, by the Chairman of the General Political Department of Vietnam People’s Army regarding the issuance of the Social Sciences and Humanities Program for training division-level officers in command, staff, logistics, engineering, military medicine, and intelligence at the university level. The seminar should analyze and clarify the theoretical basis and practical necessity; thus drawing connections to practical aspects, analyzing, and evaluating the current situation of innovating teaching methods in social sciences and humanities at military academies and schools.
