Vietnam Military Medical University: Exciting cooking competition “Family Feast on Holidays”
On the afternoon of March 5, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Military Medical University organized a cooking competition with the theme “Family Feast on Holidays.”
This is one of the practical activities aimed at commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Defense Trade Union (March 6, 1949 / March 6, 2024) and celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Military Medical University (March 10, 1949 / March 10, 2024).
The competition was attended and directed by Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Commissar of the university. Also participating in the competition were 7 teams representing the 7 grassroots Trade Unions and a large number of youth union members and trade union members from units within the university.

The cooking competition with the spirit of “Solidarity – Exchange – Winning the Highest Prize” was organized to enhance life skills, teamwork skills, and strengthen solidarity among officers and trade union members within the unit through organizing collective activities. This provided an opportunity for officers and trade union members to exchange and learn from each other while preserving the cultural identity and culinary heritage of Vietnamese youth and trade union members within the university.
Speaking at the competition, Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Van Nam praised it as one of the meaningful activities to create a beneficial playground for officers and trade union members throughout the university, showcasing talents, roles, and the significance of family in today’s life. This event contributes to raising awareness about the quality of family life and preserving the culinary culture of Vietnamese people.
The competition is also an opportunity for officers and trade union members throughout the university to affirm not only their professional expertise but also their practical skills in household chores; it is a chance for officers and trade union members from various units to connect, learn, and strengthen their solidarity.

To ensure the success and achievement of the set goals of the competition, Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Van Nam emphasized that the teams need to strictly adhere to the regulations, be well-prepared, united, humble, and confident in striving for the highest results in the competition categories. The organizing committee, judging panel, and service personnel were urged to uphold responsibility, coordinate closely, perform their assigned tasks well, and contribute to the success of the competition.

During the competition, the teams prepared feasts with authentic Vietnamese dishes, showcasing skillful and exquisite presentation that captivated the audience. The competition also created a warm and competitive atmosphere, allowing youth union and trade union members to share tasks, cooking skills, and enjoy the dishes prepared by their comrades.
