During ceremony, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Director of the University, read a letter from General Secretary and President To Lam addressed to the education sector on the occasion of the new school year.

In his opening remarks, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien said that in the 2023-2024 school year, Party committees and commanders at all levels, along with faculty, staff, cadets, soldiers and workers of the University always uphold responsibility, solidarity, initiative, creativity, overcome all difficulties, continue to achieve comprehensive achievements in training, scientific research, treatment and other aspects of work. In particular, focusing on implementing the contents of medical training innovation and building a team of cadres and lecturers with good professional qualifications and a high sense of responsibility to meet the training goals, as well as the requirements of building a “lean, compact, strong” Army in the new situation. The University is also the host of many national and Ministry of Defense-level scientific topics and projects. It focuses on encouraging young cadres, lecturers and cadets to participate in scientific research. Advances in medical technology have been successfully applied at affiliated institutions like Military Hospital 103, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, and the Military Institute of Clinical Embryology and Histology.…

Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University spoke at the opening ceremony.

To successfully carry out the tasks of the new school year, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien requested all cadres, lecturers, staff, cadets and soldiers in the University to unite and strive to fulfill the key tasks of the 2024-2025 school year with the theme “Discipline, enhancing innovation, improving the quality of education and training”, meeting the requirements of building the Army in the new situation, the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration. Continue to effectively implement the motto “The quality of training of the school is the combat readiness of the unit”, improve the quality of training, research in military medicine, ensure the improvement of the health of the entire army, meeting the requirements of building a regular, elite and modern Army.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health, praised the results achieved by the Vietnam Military Medical University in 2023-2024. At the same time, he requested the Vietnam Military Medical University to continue to thoroughly grasp, resolutely and creatively implement the resolutions, conclusions and directives of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on education – training and scientific research, creating high unity in awareness, responsibility, realizing the development aspirations, promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity of the school. Well implement the training goals, requirements and tasks according to regulations, focusing on propaganda and recruitment to attract high-quality human resources. At the same time, implement the plan to train and foster military medical officers and staff to meet the requirements of building the Army, strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
