Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Kien attended and chaired the ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Kien emphasized that the launch of the Tree Planting Festival aimed to raise awareness and instill a sense of responsibility in all the staff members and students of VMMU in terms of management, protection, care and sustainable development of the ecological environment, thereby contributing to environmental protection and the implementation of Uncle Ho’s call. This is a practical job in promoting the implementation of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style” to help officials, employees, students, soldiers, and workers deeply understand the origin, contents, values and humanity of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on the cause of “planting trees – nurturing people”.

VMMU leaders and representatives participated in the ceremony

In order for the tree-planting movement to continue to spread widely and bring practical results, the Director of VMMU requested all the concerned agencies and units to strengthen propaganda and encouragement of its officers and staff. More specifically, it is necessary to raise their self-awareness and responsibility to synchronously implement solutions to plant and protect trees as well as choose plants which are suitable to the local climate and soil. This should be carried out using proper techniques for tree care in accordance with VMMU’s planning schemes.
