On February 3, at Hoa Son Commune (Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province), the Vietnam Military Medical University held the launching ceremony for the “Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh” for the At Ty Spring 2025.

Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Military Medical University, officially launched the “Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh” for At Ty Spring 2025.

In his speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nghiem Duc Thuan emphasized that the early spring tree planting movement has garnered enthusiastic participation from officers, staff, cadets, soldiers, and workers across the university. This movement contributes to creating a green, clean, and beautiful environment at the institution and its units.

The launch event also served as an opportunity to raise awareness and responsibility among the academy’s officers, staff, cadets, soldiers, and workers regarding the management, protection, care, and sustainable development of the ecological environment, thereby contributing to environmental protection. This initiative is also a practical action in promoting the “Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of President Ho Chi Minh,” helping participants deeply understand the origins, content, values, and humanitarian essence of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on the “Planting Trees – Cultivating People” mission.

Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Vietnam Military Medical University, presided over the event.

The event was attended by members of the Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Vietnam Military Medical University, and representatives from leadership and command units across the university.

The Vietnam Military Medical University organized the ceremony as a meaningful activity to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2025).

This event aims to further promote the Tree Planting Festival under the theme “Solidarity, for a Green World,” in line with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) and the implementation of the One Billion Trees Program for the period 2021-2025.

Vietnam Military Medical University Leaders and Delegates Participate in Tree Planting

To ensure that the tree planting movement continues to spread widely and yield practical results, Lieutenant General Nghiem Duc Thuan urged all agencies and units within the academy to intensify communication efforts and encourage officers, staff, cadets, soldiers, and workers to enhance their awareness, self-discipline, and responsibility. 

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of implementing comprehensive measures for tree planting and protection, selecting tree species suitable for the climate and soil conditions, and applying proper technical care and planning in accordance with the academy’s development strategy.
