In 1979, to meet the mission, Treatment Team No 47 of VMMU was established and marched to the Northern border to carry out the mission. Born in difficult times, Treatment Team No 47 when first established had only more than 70 people, with extremely inadequate facilities. However, with intelligence and determination, the officers, employees, and soldiers of the Team have promoted the revolutionary tradition, shared commitment and suffering to overcome all challenges, and gave first aid and treatment of wounded and sick soldiers for the armed forces.
