On the afternoon of March 29th, in Thap Muoi district (Dong Thap province), Vietnam Military Medical University, in collaboration with the Military Command, Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap province, organized propaganda and career orientation for military university admissions in 2024.

Vietnam Military Medical University is one of the leading prestigious universities in the health sector in Vietnam, under the Ministry of National Defense, with a tradition of over 75 years of construction and development.

During the propaganda and career orientation session, students watched documentary films introducing the traditions, achievements of Vietnam Military Medical University; study conditions as well as admission criteria for the university.

The admissions board of Vietnam Military Medical University also answered questions from students about admission procedures, benefits during studying at the university, conditions for assignments after graduation, etc.

The admission method of Vietnam Military Medical University is based on the general regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education and Training, combining direct admission, priority admission, admission of excellent students, and the results of the high school graduation examination. Applicants register for admission by submitting preliminary application documents to the district military command where they reside.

Candidates aspiring to enter Vietnam Military Medical University must meet health standards: males must be at least 1.63 meters tall, weighing 50 kilograms or more; females must be at least 1.54 meters tall, weighing 48 kilograms or more. Candidates with myopia of no more than 3 diopters, achieving 10/10 vision in the right eye through glasses, and a total vision of both eyes reaching 19/10 are eligible.

The military recruitment board provided career guidance and orientation to the student attendees during the session.

Regarding the admission method, Vietnam Military Medical University directly admits, prioritizes admission, admits excellent students (up to 15% of the quota). Specifically, candidates are directly admitted if they achieve at least third prize in the national or international scientific and technical competitions; belong to ethnic minority groups, or reside in poor border, island districts.

Additionally, combined admission continues with students who achieve excellent results in grades 10, 11, and the first semester of grade 12, with good conduct. These students must have won first, second, or third prizes at the provincial level in one of the subjects according to the combination for admission; possess an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher, or a TOEFL iBT score of 55 or higher. SAT scores from 1,068/1,600 points onwards. ACT scores from 18/36 points onwards.

Vietnam Military Medical University also admits based on the results of aptitude assessments conducted by domestic universities, not exceeding 20% of the quota. Acceptable scores include a score of 75/150 or higher from Hanoi National University; 600/1,200 or higher from Ho Chi Minh City National University.
