Vietnam Military Medical University (VMMU) reviews the implementation of the 50th Campaign for the period of 2020-2024
In the afternoon of October 15, VMMU held a preliminary conference to implement the Campaign “Management, exploitation of weapons and technical equipment with good, durable, safe, economical and traffic safety” (Campaign 50) for 2020-2024.
Attending the conference were Colonel Nguyen Huu My, VMMU Deputy Director (General Department of Logistics), Member of the 50th Steering Committee of the Ministry of National Defense; Colonel Pham Duc Tiep, Deputy Director of the Academy, Head of the Steering Committee of 50 VMMU chaired the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Pham Duc Tiep emphasized that over the years, the thorough understanding and implementation of the 50th Campaign at VMMU has taken place in the condition that the tasks of education, training, scientific research and treatment have been supplemented and developed with increasingly high requirements. Although facilities and technical equipment have been invested, they are not synchronized. Technical facilities (labs, laboratories, specialized classrooms, general classrooms, stations, research studios, etc.) of the University in service of training, scientific research and treatment are large in number, scattered and limited in layout area.

Weapons, equipment and technical supplies are diverse in type and supplied from many different countries. In addition to modern equipment, there are also many old-generation equipment, which is not synchronized. The types of cars serving the command and operation, performing the work of ensuring the lack of quantity, many vehicles are old, the technical condition is deteriorating, etc. However, under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the VMMU’s Management Board, along with the proactive, flexible, and responsible efforts of various agencies and units, the solidarity and determination of the staff, lecturers, trainees, personnel, and soldiers, as well as the cooperation and support from foundational units across the military, the implementation of Campaign 50 at VMMU has been conducted comprehensively and consistently, achieving many positive results. This has contributed to enhancing the quality of various tasks and affirming the position and reputation of VMMU within the military’s system of universities and schools.

At the conference, the presentations highlighted both the strengths and some limitations, shortcomings, and challenges that need to be addressed to effectively implement Campaign 50 in the future at the University. The focus will be on ensuring depth, substance, and ongoing innovation and creativity to enhance effectiveness.
On this occasion, VMMU also organized awards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the 50th Campaign of the Univesity.
