45 trainees from the military medical doctor training program graduated with excellent results.
According to the Vietnam Military Medical University, intending to train military doctors who are both morally upright and professionally competent, many trainees from the 52nd cohort of the Military Medical Doctor Training Program (academic years 2018–2025) and the 23rd cohort of the Residency Program (academic years 2022–2025) have achieved outstanding results in academic performance, training, and scientific research.
On March 17, a delegation of leaders from the Military Medical Academy, along with nearly 300 trainees from the 52nd cohort of the Military Medical Doctor Training Program and the 23rd cohort of the Residency Program, held a tribute ceremony at Ba Dinh Square and paid their respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.
On behalf of the delegation from the Vietnam Military Medical University, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Quyet Thang – Deputy Head of the Political Department – reported to President Ho Chi Minh the outstanding achievements of the trainees upon completing their programs. He affirmed that, throughout their time studying and training at the University, to become military doctors who are both morally upright and professionally competent, many trainees from the 52nd cohort of the Military Medical Doctor Training Program and the 23rd cohort of the Residency Program had achieved remarkable results in academics, personal development, and scientific research.
Among them, for the 52nd cohort of the Military Medical Doctor Training Program, over 97.37% of trainees met annual academic requirements, with more than 77.86% achieving good, very good, or excellent results. For the graduation exams, over 99.82% passed, with 56.66% receiving good, very good, or excellent marks.

Notably, this cohort included many trainees who proactively studied and successfully obtained English certificates as required by the Ministry of National Defense, with a 100% pass rate, among which 90.47% achieved good, very good, or excellent results. Out of a total of 276 graduates, 45 trainees graduated with distinction, and 191 graduated with good standing.
In addition, the trainees actively participated in scientific research as well as various competitions and military sports events at different levels. During their studies, there were 21 collective and 1,138 individual commendations awarded. Many groups were honored with titles such as “Determined-to-Win Unit” and “Advanced Unit,” while many individuals received titles such as “Emulation Soldier at the Grassroots Level,” “Army-wide Emulation Soldier,” and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of National Defense and superior commanders.
Regarding the 23rd cohort of the Residency Program, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Quyet Thang noted that the trainees met and exceeded all academic targets set for each academic year.
All trainees achieved “good” or “very good” results in their theoretical graduation exams; 100% received “very good” or “excellent” in their practical exams. All trainees successfully defended their graduation theses in English, with results rated as “very good” or “excellent.”
In terms of conduct over the entire course, all 21 trainees were rated as “good.” Furthermore, 100% of the trainees, all of whom are Party members, fulfilled or excellently fulfilled their assigned duties.
“The graduates from the 52nd cohort of the Military Medical Doctor Training Program and the 23rd cohort of the Residency Program at the Vietnam Military Medical University will continue to strive for excellence in carrying out the tasks entrusted to them by the Party, the State, the Army, and the People. They are truly worthy of the trust placed in them by previous generations and of the deep affection of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, deserving of the noble title of ‘Uncle Ho’s Soldiers’” affirmed the Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Vietnam Military Medical University.
