On March 2nd, at Vietnam Military Medical University (VMMU), the General Department of Politics of Vietnam People’s Army organized the launch of a voluntary blood donation movement among the youth of the entire army in 2024. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, chaired the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau emphasized that voluntary blood donation is comprehensively implemented by leaders and commanders of agencies and units in the Army, which contributed greatly to the regular and emergency treatment for thousands of officers, soldiers and people.
On behalf of the leader of the General Department of Politics, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau acknowledged and praised the Military Youth Committee, Military Medical Department, Military Medical University, and hospitals in the Army for coordinating with agencies and units to direct union organizations at all levels to promote propaganda, mobilization, and effective implementation of the voluntary blood donation movement; as well as praised the youth of the Army for always taking the initiative and taking the lead in donating blood to save lives.

Along with that, Military hospitals and military medical facilities need to proactively anticipate needs, have practical and specific solutions and activities, and continue to promote more effective blood donation campaigns. suitable for Army characteristics. Pay attention to consulting, health care, strictly manage records and implement policies for voluntary blood donors; Promote the mobilization of repeat and regular blood donors; Increase investment in equipment, apply digital transformation in managing blood donors and blood units, constantly build a team of doctors and nurses to meet task requirements in the new situation.
