Meeting and expressing gratitude to the medical staff of Military Hospital 103

On February 27, in Hanoi, Military Hospital 103 (Vietnam Military Medical University -VMMU) organized a commemorative gathering to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor’s Day (February 27, 1955/February 27, 2024).

At the meeting, the officials, doctors, and delegates of Military Hospital 103 came together to review the glorious traditions of the healthcare sector, remembering and taking pride in the generations of doctors who have made positive contributions to the mission of caring for and protecting the health of the military and the people. The event also aimed to educate the hospital’s staff on political virtues and professional ethics, fostering these values among the officers and employees throughout the hospital.

Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Cong Thuc, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103, delivered a speech at the meeting.

In his speech, Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Cong Thuc, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103, stated that the hospital has continuously strived to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. In 2023, the hospital achieved and exceeded the primary targets for treatment in recent years, providing medical examinations for over 679,000 patients, admitting and treating over 67,000 patients, and handling 5,895 emergency cases. The hospital’s team of doctors has successfully implemented various advanced and complex techniques in treatment, such as early diagnosis of gastric cancer through magnifying chromoendoscopy, continuous blood purification using adsorption filters, and variable-dose accelerated radiation therapy (whole brain).

The hospital’s officials and doctors have conducted numerous scientific research studies and international collaborative research projects, contributing to understanding disease patterns among the population and applying new preventive and treatment methods with good effectiveness. The hospital’s staff and medical practitioners have continuously pursued further education to enhance their professional expertise. They have strived to cultivate and uphold ethical standards worthy of the honorable title and pride bestowed upon them by society as “Doctors are like caring mothers.”

Their dedication is aimed at creating a hospital where the well-being and care of patients are prioritized above all else.
