Vietnam Military Medical University awards Doctoral degrees to 30 Candidates in 2025
On the afternoon of December 26 in Hanoi, Vietnam Military Medical University held a ceremony to confer doctoral degrees in 2025 on 30 doctoral candidates who successfully completed their training programs and defended their Ph.D. dissertations.

Attending the ceremony were: Colonel, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Lê Văn Đông, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Medicine (General Department of Logistics–Technical); representatives of the Command of the Training Division under the Department of Personnel (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army); and the Command of the Division of Education and Training Management under the Department of Military Training and Schools (General Staff).
Representing Vietnam Military Medical University were: Lieutenant General, Professor, Ph.D. Trần Viết Tiến, Director of the University; Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Nghiêm Đức Thuận, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the University; along with members of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors. Also attending were representatives of the leadership of Military Hospital 103 and the Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital; commanders of departments, divisions, and cadet management systems; heads of departments and faculties; lecturers of the University; and the newly awarded Ph.D. graduates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor, Ph.D. Trần Viết Tiến, Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University, congratulated the 30 newly awarded Ph.Ds., while acknowledging and commending their perseverance, determination, and efforts to overcome difficulties.
The Director emphasized that amid the rapid development of science and technology, along with increasingly high demands for military medical support in combat readiness, epidemic prevention and control, disaster relief, and international integration, the University has remained steadfast in its goal of building a high-quality postgraduate training institution. The University takes scientific research as its foundation and military medical practice as its guiding orientation, gradually affirming its academic standing and scientific prestige within the national education system.

Director of the Vietnam Military Medical University, Dr. Trần Viết Tiến, emphasized that a doctoral degree is not the final destination but rather a new starting point on the path of scientific contribution and service to the Fatherland. He expressed his hope that the newly awarded doctors would continue to uphold the University’s proud traditions, maintain firm political resolve, and persist in learning, research, and innovation; proactively addressing major issues arising from military medical practice, thereby contributing to improved healthcare for soldiers and the people in all circumstances.
“The Vietnam Military Medical University always trusts and expects that you will become leading experts, reputable scientists, and exemplary military medical officers, making practical contributions to the building of a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Army, as well as to the development of Vietnamese medicine,” the University Director shared.
