Seventy-five years ago, under difficult and harsh conditions, the first class of military medical students commenced their training on March 10, 1949, in Tuan Lung hamlet, Hoang Hoa commune (Tam Duong, Vinh Phuc). With very rudimentary and inadequate infrastructure and a shortage of staff and teachers, they overcame all difficulties. The faculty and students fought, taught, studied, and simultaneously cared for the health of the military, treating wounded soldiers, and excellently completing all tasks.
